Boxelder Job Corps Student Spotlight: Meet Jessica Dillon

Hometown: Aberdeen, SD

Trade: Business Technology

Jessica learned about Job Corps while she was studying to get her GED at the Career Learning Center in Aberdeen. She enrolled at the Boxelder Job Corps when she was 19, and spent a year and a half in the program. Not only did she successfully earn her high school diploma and complete the Business Technology trade, but she applied and was admitted to the Job Corps TCU Advanced Training Program in Excelsior Springs, MO!

Jessica's graduation from the Boxelder Job Corps is bittersweet; she's excited to continue her training but is going to miss her friends and instructors. Jessica says her biggest challenge at Job Corps was learning to be self-reliant, but she met that challenge head-on. She became a student intern, worked in the student clinic, and assisted with grading papers for business students. After completing her advanced training Jessica hopes to further pursue higher education.
