Welding students at the Boxelder Job Corps Center have been gaining hands-on welding experience while creating a dreamcatcher for the Rapid City Festival of Lights. The Rapid City Festival of Lights takes place in downtown Rapid City on Saturday, November 29, 2008, and the work of these young men will be on display in the parade.
Projects such as this give Boxelder Job Corps students real-life work experience, and it also builds a bridge between the Boxelder Job Corps Center and the local community.
The welding students who worked on this dreamcatcher and are pictured above are Nick Stolhand, Aaron Gregory, Nicholas Fields, Matt Hagen, and Bruce Warner. These young men did all of the work to complete this amazing piece!
